"Never before have I needed to stretch so much, but had so little time to do it!"
This is a fun class for mums and babies!

It's an opportunity to do some gentle stretches and a bit of toning, learn techniques to help with common ailments for you and baby, meet some other mums, and most importantly it's a new way to have fun with your baby! It's also place where we share how we're feeling, ask questions and share tips and advice to help each other get through the crazy world of being a new parent.

When it comes to doing the yoga...
For mums, we work on strengthening our pelvic floor, relaxing and stretching out our aching shoulders, necks, lower backs, wrists and side bodies, and creating stability and strength in our core once again.

For baby, we use toys and props while doing the mum exercises so it becomes a bit of a baby sensory class, and then when we focus on baby, we sing songs and do some gentle baby yoga exercises to help with ailments such as colic, wind and indigestion.

It's a very relaxed class - we laugh when the babies parp and we understand that sometimes babies need to feed, cuddle or sleep and other times they like lots of stimulation.

The class is suitable for beginners to yoga as well as those with more experience, and is a safe exercise for the postnatal period. It is suitable for babies up until they are moving so much you spend all your time chasing them round the room and no time on your mat!

Please read all the important information below before booking.

Important information
How soon after I give birth can I join this class?
If you had a straightforward vaginal birth, you can join the class six weeks after your baby was born if you feel ready to do so.
If you had a c-section, please wait at least 12 weeks before joining the class. You just had major surgery and you need to give yourself time to heal properly.
If you are unsure when to join, just send me a message and we can chat it through.

Do I need to book or can I just turn up?
Please book in advance.

What do I need to wear and bring?
Wear something you can move freely and feel comfortable in. Leggings/ joggers and a loose top are a good option. Bare feet is preferable so you don't slip. ( No - you don't need to have a pedicure to come here. We're mums, who has time for that?!)

Bring along to classes:
-
A blanket for your baby to lie on
-
A water bottle to keep you hydrated
-
A rattle and a scarf to entertain baby.

What if I need to feed or change my baby during class?
That is very much expected! Just do whatever you need to do, when you need to do it. There are baby changing facilities in the toilets, though most people just bring a change bag and change baby in the hall.

What if I'm running late?
Don't worry at all. Just come when you can and you'll be welcomed warmly when you get here!
